    About 20 minutes from Refugio La Cabrera found Las Cuevas del Masiet. All these cavities excavated in gypsum outcrops, have different access travel totaling 521m and 47m of altitude.

 

   Simplifying could say that has three hits, lower mouth (Masiet vell), middle and upper mouth mouth (Masiet Nou). The exterior is wooded Landscape, mouths are installed in two gullies near and around the upper mouths are located several funnel shaped sinkholes.     There are remains of ancient meandrificados ducts in ceilings and side galleries, which are destroyed or masked by a widespread collapse process. Sediment accumulation in the large gallery  testifies Masiet Nou important times of transport. The flow reduction causes increasingly in the passage between the two cavities to accumulate materials hindering the passage.

 

    If we cross the river Brugent towards the Pinetell, we find the Sima of the Pi Rodó of 76m of depth and 126 m of tour. The mouth is in ramp and as we are entering it is becoming closer. We think the beginning of the first well that it does not come to the meter of width; such a com will be the keynote in the whole cavity. After lowering a parl of wells we come to a landing where there is the narrowest " Pas dels Zinc ", that we spend over a block encastado in the way of the gallery. Past this step we accede to the beginning of the broadest well of the whole cavity and that takes us to the maximum depth.It is necessary to emphasize that though it is a tectonic cavity in calcareous, the walls are completely draped from on the ceiling up to the soil, of magnificent washes of diverse colors and also some flags, stalactites and stalagmites.

    Around the Mont-ral term there is a wealth of caves where you can go caving such as the cave of the Moneda, the cave of Mont-ral and Sima del Cudo.
